Which digital transformation course should I take first?

If you work in IT and want to move into leadership, start with the BCS Foundation Award in Leading with an IT Mindset. If you lead a business area or sit on a board, Digital Transformation for Leaders from The Corporate Governance Institute is a short, practical starting point.

What's the difference between the BCS and Corporate Governance Institute courses? 

The BCS courses build the skills of IT and business professionals who deliver change, with a BCS exam and certificate. The Corporate Governance Institute courses are written for directors and senior leaders who oversee technology, and are assessed online with a digital certificate.

Are your digital transformation courses accredited?

Yes. Our courses are awarded by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, or by The Corporate Governance Institute. Duco Digital Training is a BCS-accredited training provider and an authorised partner of The Corporate Governance Institute.

Do I need a technical background?

No. The leadership and board-level courses are designed for non-technical managers and directors. The BCS IT leadership awards suit IT professionals who want to build their business and leadership skills.

How long do I have to complete a course?

BCS courses include 12 months' access and the exam fee. The Corporate Governance Institute's courses include 6 months' access, with short courses taking around 3 to 5 hours and the advanced certificate 12 to 15 hours.

What jobs can these courses lead to?

They support roles such as IT business partner, IT manager, head of digital, transformation lead, programme manager, CIO and CTO, and board members responsible for technology. Digital leadership is now expected in most senior roles, not only in IT.
