Which IT architecture course should I take first?

Start with the BCS Foundation Certificate in Architecture Concepts and Domains. It introduces the frameworks, domains and governance that every architect needs, and it's the entry point to the six-course IT Architecture Pathway.

What's the difference between a single course and the IT Architecture Pathway?

A single course gives you one BCS certificate in one architecture domain. The pathway combines all six BCS architecture courses at a discounted price, so you build cross-domain expertise and earn six BCS certificates.

How do BCS architecture courses compare with TOGAF?

TOGAF is one enterprise architecture framework, from The Open Group. The BCS courses are framework-neutral: they cover architecture concepts across enterprise, solution, data, security and cloud, so the skills transfer to whichever framework your organisation uses.

Are your IT architecture courses accredited?

Yes. Our IT architecture courses are accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and lead to a BCS certificate when you pass each exam. The pathway is aligned to SFIA levels 3 and 4.

What's included, and how long do I have?

Every BCS course includes the exam fee, 12 months' online access, the recommended BCS eBooks and our Pass Assist support, with live tutor calls and practice papers. If you need longer to finish the pathway, just let us know.
