What is the BCS AI Diploma?

It's a BCS certification awarded when you pass 8 BCS AI awards, chosen from 12. It shows employers you understand AI across data, ethics, risk, technology and business use, mapped to SFIA Plus Levels 2 and 3.

Who is the BCS AI Diploma for?

Professionals and teams who use, buy, manage or oversee AI, including managers, IT and digital staff, business analysts, consultants, and data, compliance and governance teams. No prior AI or technical background is needed.

Why should I take this pathway?

The Diploma builds a strong foundation for roles such as AI or digital lead, business analyst, consultant, product or transformation manager, and data protection, risk or governance roles. For organisations, it builds AI-literate teams who see both the opportunity and the risk.

What's the difference between the BCS AI Diploma and the BCS AI Certificate? 

The Diploma covers 8 awards and gives you breadth and depth across AI. The Certificate covers 4 awards and is a shorter route to a BCS AI certification, and those 4 count towards the Diploma if you upgrade later. If you're unsure, book a call and we'll recommend the right one.

How long does it take to complete?

You have 12 months to complete all 8 courses and exams, and we can extend this if you need more time. Each award takes around 20 hours of study.

What is Pass Assist?

Pass Assist is our unique support package designed to give you the knowledge, skills, and confidence to pass your BCS exam.

When you enroll in this course, Pass Assist gives you:
  • Two live video calls with your course trainer to ask questions and deepen your understanding
  • Practice exam papers to test your knowledge and get familiar with the exam format
  • Exclusive video guides to help you make a learning plan, get the most from the course, and prepare effectively for the exam

When is the start date of the pathway?

Self-study: Begin right after enrolment — learn anytime, anywhere. Book a 15-minute welcome call and a 15-minute exam prep session for each of your 8 courses with your trainer directly in the courses.

Live training: Held on mutually agreed dates. Contact us to check availability.

What happens after I enroll?

  2. Book your welcome call with your trainer.
  3. Study each course at your own pace.
  4. Book each exam using the link BCS emails you (sent 14 days after enrolment).
  5. Pass each exam and download your BCS certificate.
  6. Claim your free BCS Associate Membership after your first pass (new members only).
  7. Pass your eighth exam and receive your BCS AI Diploma.

Prefer learning in real time with a trainer? We offer live online training for groups of two or more.
