Apprenticeships & Training Conference 2026: AI, Skills, and the Future Workforce

The Apprenticeships & Training Conference (ATC) returns in March 2026, bringing together employers, training providers, policymakers, and sector leaders for two unmissable days of insight, innovation, and collaboration. And Duco Digital Training will be supporting BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, at the conference.

Attendees can visit the BCS stand, where the team will be available throughout the event to answer questions and discuss professional development routes in digital and AI skills, and also listen to our Director, Darren Winter, who has been invited to deliver an AI workshop.
The session focuses on AI competence, confidence, and the future workforce, exploring how AI is already shaping learning, assessment, and workplace expectations — and what training providers can do to respond in a practical and responsible way.

Taking place on 2–3 March 2026 at ACC Liverpool, the conference is a key date in the calendar for organisations involved in apprenticeships and workforce development. It’s a chance to share ideas, explore what’s changing across the sector, and focus on how training can continue to deliver meaningful outcomes for learners and employers.
AI is becoming a normal part of how people work, learn, and solve problems — and that creates both opportunities and challenges for training organisations.

For the sector, the priority is not simply “using AI”, but ensuring learners develop:
 • practical understanding (not just surface-level prompting)
 • confidence to apply AI appropriately in real work settings
 • awareness of risks such as bias, privacy, and misinformation
 • credible capability that employers can trust.
